| Barbara Booth, School Administrator, and Forest Ecology and Farm Experience Teacher: Before working at SFWS, Barbara’s vocations in agriculture and education led her to teach and farm in Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States. Barbara received a BA from Middlebury College in Vermont and a Masters of Environmental Science from Antioch New England Graduate School. Barbara especially enjoys participating in the growth of children and the Santa Fe Waldorf School, and supporting the Waldorf movement over the years. |

| Matthew Burritt, High School Math and Science Teacher, and Class of 2013 Co-Sponsor: Matthew joined the SFWHS faculty in 2005 as a teacher of math and physical science, and a wilderness experience guide. Matthew earned his undergraduate degree from St. John’s College in Santa Fe and received his Waldorf High School Teaching Certificate at the Center for Anthroposophy in Wilton, New Hampshire. Matthew spent two-plus years teaching earth sciences with the Peace Corps in Guinea, West Africa. Matthew graduated from the Green Meadow Waldorf School in New York. |

| Raquel Castilla, 8th Grade and High School Spanish Teacher, and Class of 2014 Co-Sponsor: Raquel was born and educated in Madrid, Spain where she earned her degree in Educational Psychology. She moved to Ojai, CA 11 years ago where she taught Spanish in Elementary, Junior High and High School. She has 15 years of experience teaching language. She loves working with students, establishing relationships and seeing them grow through the years. |

| Pablo Champion, Instrumental Music Teacher: Pablo holds a Bachelors Degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Texas and a Masters Degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester New York. He is currently a Doctoral candidate at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he studied Early Music Performance. Pablo has been teaching privately and at the Santa Fe Waldorf School for more than five years. He currently directs the high school guitar ensemble as well as the fifth and six grade orchestras. |

| Christine Chen, High School Chinese Teacher and Class of 2012 Co-Sponsor: Christine has taught Chinese at SFWHS for four years. She also is the assistant to the School Administrator. She received a BA in Asian Studies and Economics from Williams College. She then worked for a non-profit modern dance company, Chen and Dancers, in Chinatown, New York. While living in California, Christine enrolled in the baking and pastry program at the California Culinary Academy and worked in the pastry department of the French bakery La Boulangerie. |

| Pam Colgate, High School and Middle School English Teacher and 6th-8th grade Grammar Skills Teacher: Pam has taught English at SFWHS since its inception in 2001. She completed the Waldorf High School Teacher Training in 2004. Pam has a passion for great grammar, exquisite writing, and dynamic discussions. Before she started teaching, Pam worked for 20 years in corporate marketing and new product development. She has a BA in English from Colorado College and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University. Her two favorite aspects of being a Waldorf English teacher: helping guide students through the classics in a way that makes those works vibrant in the context of today's world, and forming partnerships with students through the exploration of language, literature, and life. |

| Mary Freitas, College Guidance Counselor and Accreditation Team Coordinator: Mary taught in the Santa Fe Public Schools and was a founding teacher of SFWHS. She has degrees from St. John’s College in Santa Fe and the University of New Mexico. She also is completing the Waldorf High School Teacher Training Program at Rudolf Steiner College. Mary discovered Waldorf education when she worked as Director of Admissions for St. John’s College and met some of the outstanding young Waldorf alumni applying to the college. |

| Meg Gorman, High School Humanities Teacher: Since 1968, Meg has taught students from kindergarten through college in both the public and private sectors. After becoming a Waldorf teacher in 1984, Meg was the founding faculty member of the Washington Waldorf High School in Washington, D.C.; taught at and chaired the high school at the Sacramento Waldorf School; and spent ten wonderful years teaching at and helping to build the San Francisco Waldorf High School. She has instructed teachers at Rudolf Steiner College, the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training, the Waldorf Institute of Southern California, Sound Circle Teacher Education in Seattle, and the summer program at the Center for Anthroposophy in New Hampshire. In addition, she has been active in teacher education programs in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Meg completed her undergraduate studies in English, history, and biology at the University of Rhode Island, and earned an MA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. As well as being the mother of three Waldorf “lifers,” Meg is a published poet and the author of Confessions of a Waldorf Parent and other articles. She also acts as a consultant on Waldorf high school education and on Rudolf Steiner’s threefold social organism. |

Richard Guzman, High School Studio Art: Richard has been painting northern New Mexico plein air for 18 years. He comes to Santa Fe from southern New Mexico via Wyoming and a 17-year stint in telecommunications. He is certified in secondary education mathematics. Richard earned an art degree from the College of Santa Fe.

| Lee Harvey, Grades and High School Orchestra Teacher, hails from the New England area. She has studied at the New England Conservatory, Lawrence University and University of Colorado at Boulder. She performs locally, teaches at Acequia Madre, El Dorado, Santa Fe Waldorf and has a private studio. She loves to share the wonder, joys, and challenges of music with the younger generation of Santa Fe. Long live music! |

| Karl David Johnson, Educational Support Specialist, High School Jazz Ensemble Teacher, High School Wilderness Experience Coordinator, and College of Teachers, Chair: Karl has been a Waldorf Educator since 1986 and has been with SFWS since 1990. He was class teacher for two classes that graduated from 8th grade. Currently he is the educational support specialist in the lower school. Karl holds a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling and is a certified Therapeutic Educator. Active in adult education throughout the Waldorf movement, Karl has mentored schools and given workshops and talks in New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, and the Southwestern United States. His favorite aspect of being a Waldorf teacher: watching the students grow through the years—from young childhood to adulthood. |

| Fletcher Lathrop, Woodwork Teacher: Fletcher is a founding member of SFWS and the father of three SFWS graduates. He was class teacher for two classes, one from 3rd through 8th grade and the other from 5th through 8th grade. Along with Thomas Baudhuin, Fletcher founded the school’s woodwork program and has taught woodworking for 15 years. His favorite aspect of being a Waldorf teacher: the opportunity to establish strong and fruitful working relationships with students as he guides them through the four-year woodwork curriculum. |

Enrique Otero, High School Humanities Teacher and Class of 2012 Co-Sponsor: After spending three years at the East Bay Waldorf School near San Francisco, Enrique joined the SFWHS faculty in 2008. He has a BA from San Francisco State University, studied art in Europe, and currently is working on his Waldorf High School Teacher Certificate. His favorite aspect of being a Waldorf teacher: “Watching the students as they mature through their high school years.”

| Nicole Owen Nicoles, High School Choir Teacher: She received her Master of Music degree in choral conducting from the University of Florida and her Bachelor of Music degree from Utah State University. She comes most recently from Western Wyoming Community College, where she directed choirs and music for several musicals, as well as teaching voice lessons and music classes. A Wyoming native, Nicole loves to travel and her adventures have taken her to Peru, China, Central America, Europe, and more. Most of all, she enjoys sharing her passion for choral music with the rising generation. Happy Singing! |

Elliot Ryan, High School Humanities Teacher and Class of 2013 Co-Sponsor: Elliot has been teaching English and History courses in Santa Fe for over a decade, and comes to Waldorf this year from five years at Monte Del Sol Charter School. He is dedicated helping young people uncover their potential and is looking forward to experiencing Waldorf education first hand. Outside of the classroom, he spends time in the wilderness as an herbalist and adventurer, enjoys making music, and is a dedicated family man to his two young daughters and wife.

| Robert Santacroce, Eurythmy Teacher: Robert grew up in New York City and from a very young age enjoyed drawing, dancing and creating art with his hands. He studied Cinematography and Silk Screening at the 'School of Visual Arts' in NYC, and then later attended Eurythmy School in Spring Valley, NY. He has taught and performed in several countries and has always enjoyed the lively artistic process between people. |

| Chris Sciarretta, High School Art Teacher: Chris is a biologist and educator has more than a decade of experience in ecological research, youth leadership, education, carpentry, gardening and landscaping, and facilities maintenance. Before coming to SFWS in 2005, Chris worked in Colorado, Arizona, New York, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Osaka, Japan, where he taught English to Japanese students of all ages. He also studied and traveled in Venezuela, Guatemala, and Honduras. Chris received his BA in Biology from Bowdoin College in Maine and his MS in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England University. |

| Greg Shultz, High School Math and Science Teacher, Class of 2013 Co-Sponsor, and High School Faculty Chair: Before coming to SFWHS, Greg taught in several countries as educational director of a nonprofit agricultural development organization. He also taught on the Ramah Navajo reservation and in the agricultural highlands of northern New Mexico. Greg received an MS degree in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England Graduate School. |

| Uli Stuerznickel, High School and Middle School Math Teacher, and Class of 2015 Co-Sponsor: Uli taught for three years at the Tucson Waldorf School and has been at SFWS for the past eight years. She has a BA in Elementary Education from Prescott College, a diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and a Waldorf Teacher Certificate from Antioch University New England. Her favorite aspects of being a Waldorf teacher: the strong relationships developed with the students and the curriculum, which integrates music, arts, and academics. |

| Peter Swing, Marimba Teacher: Peter Swing has taught the marimba music of Zimbabwe, as well as performing and building marimbas full time, since 1996. He studied with Zimbabwean master musician Dr. Dumisani Maraire and other Zimbabwean masters since 1988 in Portland, Oregon. He continues to transmit the traditional music, as well as composing original music for his band, Jakatu, for which he also plays acoustic guitar. |

| Daniel Wendland, Grades 5-12 Movement Teacher; Athletic Director; Coach (Volleyball, Girls’ Varsity Basketball, and Track & Field); and Class of 2015 Co-Sponsor: Daniel joined the SFWS faculty in 2004. He began teaching in California in 2001 as Eureka High School’s physical education teacher, coaching JV baseball and football. He spent two years in Ifrane, Morocco, as a K-12 movement teacher, athletic director, and coach. Daniel has a BS in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University and is a Spacial Dynamics, level 1 graduate. His favorite aspect of being a Waldorf teacher: working with the amazing students who love to learn and play. |
