A New School Year Begins

Dear SFWS Families;

Our first week of high school is wrapping up with every student in grades 9-12 contributing to an exciting colloquium week built around Yann Martel's The Life of Pi; an epic tale of survival, compassion and perception that each student read over the summer months. The week included guest lecturers, art projects both practical and decorative, a trip to the ABQ Zoo and an opportunity to enjoy fine Indian cuisine at India House. A big thanks to our guest lecturers and to the high school faculty for crafting this week of memorable experiences.

Tuesday, September 3rd marks the return to school for our elementary and middle school students, with the Early Childhood students arriving on Wednesday. We are especially excited to welcome our pre-school program back to campus and wish to thank Ms. McCormick, Ms. Bolstad, Mrs. Cressman and Mr. Davis for their summer-long efforts to provide such a magical space for our youngest students.

I look forward to seeing all of our families back on campus next week and wish everyone an inspired and safe holiday weekend!

Warm Regards,

Mr. Baker
