We also strive to attain 100% participation from our parent community. In addition to their generous gifts, parents also donate their time, their talent and their energy to help with school festivals, campus cleanup days, and serve on the Board of Trustees and various committees, to name a few. Without their volunteer hours, we would need to raise significantly more funds each year to balance our budget. We are most grateful for their participation and support at all levels. The Santa Fe Waldorf School is a non-profit organization 501(c )(3) organization that relies solely on tuition and Annual Sustaining Fund (ASF) gifts for its operating funds each year. The ASF gifts are used primarily for tuition assistance and faculty salaries. One of Waldorf’s strongest values is a commitment to maintain a diverse student body. We achieve that by allocating almost 20% of our operating budget to tuition assistance, an extraordinary amount by any measure.
