Acceptances into the Santa Fe Waldorf School high school are based on availability and the school’s ability to meet a particular student’s needs. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Each month from October through March, we offers a visitor morning to interested students and their parents, offering a chance to meet teachers and see high school classes in action. An information packet is available for visitors who are interested in learning more.

Interested? Attend a visitor morning or schedule a private tour with our Admissions Director at 505-467-6431.

Admissions Procedure

Shadow Days

Prospective students are welcomed into main lesson and track classes to sit in, mingle with students and join them during snack and lunch. Applicants are paired with a shadow buddy who will guide them to each class and answer questions.

The SFWS high school faculty will review your application and request an interview. After the interview with the potential student and parents, the faculty will decide whether to accept the applicant and subsequently inform the parents of their decision.

Financial Arrangements

Upon mutual acceptance, the high school business office will send out a contract, invoice, and various forms for completion, including an application for a tuition plan managed by the SMART Tuition Management Service. This plan is required for anyone not prepaying the full amount of the tuition and fees. Students are admitted when all forms and required fees are paid.

Waiting Lists

Anyone whose application is received after the class has reached maximum enrollment will automatically be placed on a waiting list after having been interviewed. Special consideration is given to SFWS siblings and Waldorf transfer students.
