Santa Fe Waldorf School currently offers two types of merit-based scholarships as an additional supplement to annual tuition support provided through the school's generous Tuition Assistance Program. All scholarship at SFWS is supported through contributions from individuals, businesses, and foundations who believe in the transformative power of Waldorf education for children, communities and the world.

Steiner Scholarships are made possible through contributions to Santa Fe Waldorf School's Annual Sustaining Fund.

Steiner Scholarship

FOR CURRENT SFWS FAMILIES (or those previously enrolled in the past three years)

GRADE LEVEL(S): Incoming 6th - 12th

Steiner Scholarships are a new category of merit-based scholarship support for currently enrolled students (or students enrolled within the past three academic years) at the Santa Fe Waldorf School who will be seeking enrollment in grades 6-12 in the upcoming year, and who qualify for the maximum tuition assistance award allowable based upon the school’s criteria for eligibility. Steiner Scholarships have been established to provide additional support to those families who have great financial need, and whose students have demonstrated themselves to be engaged, enthusiastic and inspired members of our school community.

All applicants must first apply for, and be awarded, their tuition assistance offer by the Santa Fe Waldorf School. Families with a child (or children) who will be entering grades 6-12 in the upcoming academic year that have been offered the maximum allowable tuition assistance, and have demonstrated need remaining, will then be eligible to apply for Steiner Scholarship.

Steiner Scholarships are made possible through contributions to Santa Fe Waldorf School's Annual Sustaining Fund.

Renaissance Scholar Program

GRADE LEVEL(S): Incoming 9th

Renaissance Scholars are high school students who:

  • have a strong, well-rounded record of academic, extra-curricular activities, and community service
  • have an interest in arts, athletics, and academics
  • have either never attended, or have not attended a Waldorf school for at least five years
  • seek a Waldorf education and have been accepted for enrollment at SFWS

Successful applicants are expected to represent the school at specific functions, meet with the funder(s) on an annual basis, and maintain certain academic and social standards throughout the program.

Students selected for participation in the Renaissance Scholars Program are entitled to tuition support throughout their SFWS High School career but are obligated to pay all applicable fees for each academic year.

Scholarship support for the Renaissance  Scholars are made possible by generous multi-year donations from individuals, foundations and businesses who see the value of creating opportunities for a Waldorf-based, college-prep, high school experience for those in the regional community who exhibit great initiative and aptitude. Unless otherwise specifically indicated by donors, preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and who have committed themselves to volunteer activity in the local community.
